Fantastic Flame Screensaver

This nifty screensaver sets your desktop ablaze! When Fantastic Flame fires up (no pun intended), everything on your desktop - wallpaper, icons, windows - will appear to catch on fire, glowing and emitting a smoke effect. Also, lots of flaming backgrounds (Zodiac signs, movie and game posters, Fantasy pictures, etc.) and colorful flame styles (more than 70 in total!) come included. Your friends will say: Oh, your desktop is BURNING!

To make flames more dynamic and realistic flames, add wind gusts and color gradients (yellow flame base with red tips).

the cost is very high for screensavers for anybody to buy and also add some more graphics and effects

It would be nice if the screen saver would update the desktop picture once in a while, instead of just taking a snapshot of it !

start with a small part if the screen and slowly set more and more parts on fire.

Start with for example the smaller icons below and expand the fire slowly (but not to slow)

Add the ability to specify where your screen shots get saved

I like to save my stuff to the D: drive as I often run my pc in "sandboxed" mode, would be nice to be able to save the screen shots to a dolder/drive of my choosing so I don't accidentally lose them

Have the option of clearing your Recycling Bin by 'burning' the trash, paper by paper, lit to flash flame to smoking ash pile, complete with accurate temp.-related colors of distinct indiv. flames and realistic sound correlations!!

Work on 'Options' more

*Add more built-in music tracks, and allow users to select entire music folders rather than individual tracks. *There is only a 45 deg angle that one can change the direction of the flames. It is barely noticeable. Suggest allowing the flame...

make the images in 3D with your flames and thats EPIC ;)

create the pictures and or images in 3D with or without movement, for example: a cube that rotates slow while the flames in the background are red and the cube has yellow flames in the 3D cube.

make a compressed zip folder with the files in it that is not corruptes or otherwise 'invalid'

The zip folder for this program, which usually contains a txt file with a registration code, and the setup executable file(s) for the giveaway of the day, is "invalid". I am fairly confident that this is NOT my personal computer error, please...

layer the effect over the desktop instead of taking a snapshot of it. That way if you like the effect you can continue working with the flames growing more and more.

Just like other have said have the effect start in like the corner icons and leap from one icon to the next until the entire screen is ablaze. And make it more of a desktop instead of a screensaver, or at least add the desktop as an option that...

also have the folders crisp on the corner like burnt paper. That would be cool. Maybe some ash flying all over the place. Or a Constantine in Hell type of thing would also be cool.

As 'Fubar' noted, put the particular (and out-of-date) version of BASS.DLL that FANFLAME.SCR needs in your 'Program Files' sub-folder, and get it to work accordingly

Start with ALL images and flame effect variations preselected, then as they are displayed have the means to 'uncheck' them from future use.

Display the names of the current background and style in use whenever the Flame Control box is toggled on-screen (F1 or H). Also, add two more options in the Fantastic Flame Controls: one to de-select the current background image in use, and...

Store a screenshot and have the flames devour the current screen using edge detection of the graphics of the current screen as fuel sources. As the current screen burns away, the screen shot is exposed undamaged until the org image is 90 to 100 perce

Add PAUSE & RESUME (or auto-cycling) via pressing the 'P' and 'R' keys (but only if the background or style is set to auto-cycle). Could thus freeze selection currenty on display or manually cycle and have it 'stick' without having to use the Config

Previously I mentioned using the 0-9 keys as a r'ating system' (for the background and style, separately), with a '0' essentially the same as unchecking a selection box in the Configure window.

Perhaps an even better method would be to simply use SHIFT+UP/DOWN_ARROW key-press combo for boosting/suppressing the "rating/ranking/popularity" of a style, and the SHIFT+LEFT/RIGHT_ARROW for the background. That way, there is no assigned...

I was so disappointed! Improve the flames a lot and make it look the stuff is burning away like a piece of paper burning up.
